Meanings
Determiners introduce nouns.
They tell us ‘how many’ or ‘which one’. There are two very important rules:
- Rule 1: A determiner always comes BEFORE a noun (and any adjectives describing it).
my new car - Rule 2: You usually use only ONE determiner per noun phrase.
✔ my car OR the car
✗the my car
